The Function

The Manufacturing Engineer ensures flawless manufacturing of technical complex medical equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the specifications to manufacture medical equipment and all the software related to the production process,planning and stock. Besides the Manufacturing Engineer will participate in multidisciplinary project teams, running several improvement projects simultaneously, following strict regulations for Medical Devices (MDR).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for country-specific labeling process implementation and maintenance;
  • Ensure Compliancy by setting up documentation for supply chain according to QMS;
  • Design for Manufacturability, Design Transfer towards MF Veenendaal and Supply Chain;
  • Define and validate manufacturing processes and tools;
  • Create and maintain work instructions for manufacturing;
  • Independent and/or in collaboration with colleagues from R&D,Manufacturing, Engineering or external experts, design and setup experiments aiming to improve and/or validate processes;
  • Maintain the ERP system (Movex) and item creation;
  • Handle and resolve non-conformities;
  • Project lead of projects within your field of expertise;
  • Process optimization, among others by applying the Lean principles;
  • Production setup at Elekta Veenendaal and suppliers;
  • Statistic analysis and reporting

 
Department & Supervisor

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you join a team of ten other Manufacturing Engineers and one Director responsible for this team. You will frequently lead and join cross-functional projects and have a close connection with R&D,Regulatory Affairs and Manufacturing.

 
Requirements

As a company that operates in the medical device sector, our products and processes are subject to the most rigorous scrutiny and validation procedures. As such, there is a strong preference for candidates with an L6S Green Belt in Process Excellence. You should also bring the following attributes:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering;
  • At least four years of work experience in Manufacturing Engineering in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices;
  • Proficient with Movex (ERP) and PLM systems;
  • Familiar with the Medical Device Directive and Medical Device Regulation;
  • Powerful writing, speaking, and listening skills and a good knowledge of Dutch and English;
  • Team player, proactive and, quality-driven.
